Installing PBA 2k14

NOTE:  You need to have an NBA 2k14 installed on your PC to be able to play PBA 2k14.

Here's the instruction on how to install PBA 2k14 inside NBA 2k14.

1. Create a copy of your NBA 2k14  and name it PBA 2k14. Be sure to copy all files inside the original NBA 2k14 folder.

2. Unzip all the files that you downloaded except the zip file called PBA Appdata Files v0.3.zip. Please refer to our first blog How to Download PBA 2k14.

3. Copy all the files inside the folders that you just unzip to the PBA 2k14 folder. Remember don't copy the folder just go inside the folder and copy all the files inside and paste it to PBA 2k14 folder.

      Windows 32bit = C:\Program Files\2K Sports\NBA 2K14
      Windows 64bit = C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Sports\NBA 2K14

4. Now its time to unzip the zip file called PBA Appdata Files v0.3.zip. Copy the roster *.ROS* and Settings *.STG* files from the Appdata Files in NBA 2K14 Saves folder.

     Open the run dialog box by pressing the Windows Key + R on your keyboard,
     then type: %AppData% and hit Enter. Open 2K Sports > NBA 2K14 > Saves

5. Run NBA 2K14 inside the folder PBA 2k14, turn ON Customize League in Options' » 'Game Modes' » 'Start Association' » 'New', assign any PBA teams to any divisions you want. Save this association so that you don't need to create one on the next Run of NBA 2k14.

6. Then go to 'Options' » 'Load / Save' » 'Load' » select the roster. Enjoy the game.

Here are the instructions for downloading PBA 2K14. Of course, you'll need NBA 2K14.

Let's get started.

Folder Locations 

First, we'll briefly introduce the locations for which files go where.

NBA 2K14 Main Directory 

This is what your NBA 2K14 Main Directory looks like.

It is the folder where your NBA 2K14 has been installed. This is the folder where you paste all Main Directory Files that have been downloaded for PBA 2K14.

NBA 2K14 Appdata Folder 

This is what your NBA 2K14 Appdata Folder looks like.

It is a hidden folder where are your saves (Rosters, Settings, MyCareer, etc.) are located. To be able to open this folder, you must do the following.

Open the Start Button and search for the "Run" program or press Windows Key + R.

Open the program and type in "%appdata%" then press Enter.

You'll be sent into a folder that contains the 2K Sports folder. You will now see the NBA 2K14 folder which has the Saves folder. The Saves folder is where you want to paste the Appdata Files that have been downloaded for PBA 2K14.

Download Links/Files to Download 

Here are the files that you NEED to run the game, and a brief description of each. Appdata Files need to be redownloaded every update. The Main Directory Files do NOT need to be redownloaded, and you only have to download them once.

Appdata Files 

These files are reuploaded for EVERY version. You need to redownload these every update for the latest PBA and NBA rosters. The link for this is shown in each blog post for each version update.

NBA Main Directory Files 

These files are necessary to complete the NBA rosters with the missing jerseys and cyberfaces.

These files are necessary to complete the PBA rosters with courts, jerseys, and cyberfaces.

PBA Main Directory Files 2 

These files are necessary to update the PBA cyberfaces, courts, and jerseys.

PBA Optional Files 

These files are optional for the PBA's logos, bootups, Molten ball, AksyonTV watermarks, etc. Always back up your files, or create a separate PBA 2K14 folder for this.

1. Get Dota 2 on Steam

Visit the Dota 2 Steam page and click the 'Get Dota 2' button. For now, you'll be added to the launch queue, and we'll email you when we are ready for you to come play. The volume of players let in will gradually increase so we can spread the launch load out over time.

2. Sharpen your skills in the New User Experience

Once you're in, you can get a feel for what Dota 2 is all about by playing through the tutorial. After you've mastered some of the basics of the game, we have AI controlled bots for you to battle against, which can be set to a number of different skill levels. You can even grab a group of friends to play against the bots. It's a great way to get started playing Dota 2 and figuring out who will be your first favorite hero.

3. Let the games begin!

Once you are ready to start playing full games via matchmaking, we'll keep an eye on how you're doing and make sure that you're playing against other players of your skill level. There is also a party system, so you and up to four of your friends can all play together on the same team.
